Qualified applicants are being sought for the full-time position of Instructor for the Sheet Metal Workers Training Centre Society situated in Surrey, BC. The successful applicant will provide instruction to apprentices and journeys through all aspects of the shop and classroom components to meet the requirements of the BC government apprenticeship standards. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Shop Data Systems and Microsoft Office is recommended. A complete list of duties & responsibilities is available upon request. Applicants must hold a Sheet Metal Worker TQ certificate and a valid BC driver’s license. A minimum 4 years diverse trade experience would be an asset. The Instructor will be required to obtain/hold a BC Instructor Diploma, complete the ITI Instructor Training Program and obtain and hold a Level 2 First Aid certificate.

The Instructor must be available to attend various industry training that requires travel outside the Greater Vancouver and Canada from time to time. This position reports directly to the Chief Instructor. The successful candidate will be expected to start work in May 2019 and will be supported with on-the-job training with the Chief Instructor.
