Fabrication techniques and layout for the food service industry. GTAW of stainless steel and the grinding and polishing techniques required. Designed for members that already possess some welding skills but wish to improve or learn the techniques associated to stainless fabrication, welding and finishing. Students completing the course will have fabricated several small stainless projects to take home.
STAINLESS STEEL 1:
Basic grinding & polishing of stainless steel. Basic forming techniques for stainless steel. Projects will include: layout, forming, welding and finishing of an outside corner. This course is a requirement for STAINLESS STEEL 2.
STAINLESS STEEL 2:
Mitred grain layout and forming techniques. Projects will include a splice joint welded and then ground and polished. Advanced layout and forming techniques. Projects will include a splice joint welded and then ground and polished to #4 finish.
